: Bridging The Gap. With today’s launch of Bridging the Gap
, 200 Influencers have stepped up to take part in an unprecedented campaign for social change. As women from multiple and disparate demographics, we have much to offer one another. We are stronger together! This fall’s campaign unites the Millennial and Midlife Demographics to blur artificial boundaries while encouraging Reciprocal Mentorship. And in some cases mid lifers are meeting other mid lifers by accident and/or coincidence.
I’m so excited to connect with Julie Diamond because we have some incredible parallels in our work, people we know, celebrities we’ve trained (Nancy Travis
, Janet Crown
) and where we live. I’m thrilled to have her story here on my blog, however nothing compares to my excitement for the new friendship I believe we are about to embark upon. (Julie, next time we meet we are going to have some lemonade!)
What is age? I have friends who are 23 years young and friends who are 83 years wise! I’m somebody who always embraced age … ok, up until 51!!! I’m turning 53 in November and have done a lot of soul searching in the last 2 years.
I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and I am thrilled to be re-inventing myself in a business that is filled with young people. I find it exciting where many of my peers are half my age and we have the opportunity to learn from each other. It’s such a different world now, than it was even just 5 years ago. Because of technology everything moves at lighting speed and keeping up can be daunting if you let it be. I am choosing to learn the skills as I know I need to push forward!
My goal is to empower women at any age to be their healthiest self ever! MIND BODY SPIRIT! I specialize in women in the 40 plus demographic. To help them embrace and transition through the aging process. Dealing with hot topics like body transformation, hormones and nutrition.
A big reason I wanted to be in the Bridging The Gap campaign
was to embrace that we are ONE and stronger together. A millennial was supposed to write this article about me but unfortunately fell through… So here I am writing about myself. I have found that with amazing support behind me and people lifting me up, I am “moving forward.” I had a sticker when I was kid that said “when life gives you lemons make lemonade.”
It is cliche but it is the truth!
A bit about me: I was in a very successful career in my twenties when my parents fell ill at the same time. This made me re-evaluate life and I went from fashion to fitness! At the time, my focus was to change a persons life and if I did I would feel I had made a difference. Since then, I’ve built a very successful career in the fitness industry. Taking on the big Los Angeles market. Now I want to take it further, with on-line videos, speaking engagements and retreats. All featuring a main purpose which is helping women
embrace their age and to feel and look their very best!
HEALTH and HAPPINESS!
