Preparing Brown Rice

Like all grains, before cooking rice, especially that which is sold in bulk, rinse it thoroughly under running water and then remove any dirt or debris that you may find. After rinsing brown rice, fill large sauce pan 2 parts water one part rice.  Add sea salt and crushed garlic.  Bring to a boil, add rice and let boil for 4 minutes and then turn off the heat, keep it covered and DO NOT remove lid for 35 minutes.  Once cooled, spoon into glass containers to store in the fridge.
