Preparing Quinoa

“While no single food can supply all the essential life sustaining nutrients, quinoa comes as close as any other in the plant or animal kingdom.”

WOW that makes this a power house to have prepped in your fridge. Mix one cup of quinoa with 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, and give it a good stir. Then turn the heat to low and put a lid on your pot. Cook the quinoa for 10 to 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Remove the cooked grain from the stove and fluff it with a fork before you serve it. You can serve it as a side dish just like you would plain rice like this. When cooled store in fridge and use when needed.

Stored quinoa can last for up to a week in the fridge.
