Whole wheat pasta is healthier than ever. Whether it is made of flour or durum, it has almost three times more fiber than the regular pasta. You will fill up faster, meaning you will eat less and potentially help you shed a few extra pounds. Adding garlic to the water when preparing is a little trick for added flavor. You may even find protein and Omega 3’s in particular brands you buy. Just remember it is all about portion size and the easiest way to tell how much to eat is to make sure your serving can fit in the palm of your hand. I make my pasta on Sunday’s by preparing one-two pounds (2 bags). Rinse, cool and drizzle with olive oil. I make enough to fill a 6-cup glass container and have extra to use in a pasta dish. Cooked pasta is good for a few days.
