Looking for something like ice cream but without all the calories and fat. Look no more. A frozen banana covered in dark chocolate rolled in your favorite nuts…you won’t be looking in the ice cream isle anymore.
INGREDIENTS (click photo to enlarge)
Insert popsicle sticks into each of the bananas and place on a parchment-lined sheet. Freeze, uncovered, for at least two hours or overnight.
Once the bananas are frozen, melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave the chocolate until melted. (not a fan of microwave, but sometimes they come in handy)
Carefully dip a banana into the chocolate so it is evenly covered, roll in nuts, and hold upright for about 30 seconds, while it quickly sets. Set down on the parchment-lined sheet and repeat. Serve immediately or freeze until ready to eat.
